Since then, Aleris has strengthened its business through internal growth and operational improvements, as well as strategic acquisitions including the downstream aluminum business of Corus Group plc, which doubled the company’s size and significantly expanded its worldwide presence. We are a privately held company, majority owned by a committed ownership group led by investment funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, L.P.
