TRIMET stands for aluminum from Europe! Since its foundation in 1985 as a metal trading company, the independent family business TRIMET developed continuously into an aluminum specialist. The unique combination of metal trading and technological experience enables the TRIMET to serves and supply all companies of the industry based aluminum value chain.  

 

This experience covers the primary production of aluminum as well as the manufacturing of high quality components in our foundries and pressure die casting houses for companies of the following value chain. Our research and development department realizes new and innovative solutions for the versatile applications of aluminum. The recycling plants close the life cycle of our products – from the idea to high quality products with focus on our customers in automotive, packaging, civil engineering and other branches.

 

Our approximately 2400 employees work with aluminum on the highest standard. They develop, produce, cast, merchandise and recycle in 10 facilities for our customers and with highest responsibility for the environment.

Statement

The AMAP Cluster allows us to cooperate with further companies and departments of the RWTH Aachen University in mutual research projects, concerning the complete process chain of aluminum. Based on the central idea of Open Innovation, the interdisciplinary partners research together to create more innovation impulses, multiply their innovation resources and share their stakes in comparison to a conventional, bilateral cooperation.

 

Through the intensive cooperation, the team members at the AMAP Cluster handle research tasks efficiently and the results are implemented in accordance with actual practice. At the same time, the close cooperation with the RWTH Aachen University provides access to excellent research facilities and worldwide leading expertise in the metallurgy of non-ferrous metals.   

 

TRIMET participates in the AMAP Cluster to create innovation impulses as a team and optimize the technical equipment as well as workflow in our plants. It is the goal to secure the long-term company success and aim for the best customer satisfaction. A sustainable protection of the environment can be achieved by designing the production of aluminum more energy efficient.
