In a meeting of the managing directors on 23.08.2023, they agreed to deepen the cooperation. AMAP (Advanced Metals and Processes GmbH) and AD (Aluminium Deutschland e.V.) have been on friendly terms through mutual membership for several years. AMAP is the aluminium research cluster at RWTH Aachen University. The consortium is currently made up of 14 industrial companies and 6 RWTH institutes, with further members planned. 
Now the cooperation is to be intensified through mutual support in the areas of initiating research projects, shaping the content of existing events (e.g. AMAP Forum and Aluminium Business Summit) and political messages/lobbying.
