On November 20th, AMAP celebrated a significant milestone: the 100th AMAP Colloquium, hosted as a special joint session during the Surface Inspection Summit (SIS 2025) in Aachen. This anniversary marks more than a decade of collaborative research, industrial engagement, and innovation.

Tobias Beyer became the new Head of Research & Development at aluminium producer TRIMET on April 1, 2025. Beyer has worked as an engineer at TRIMET since 2018 and was previously deputy head of department, focused on cast alloy development.

Professor Junhe Lian succeeds Professor Gerhard Hirt as head of the Chair of Metal Forming Technologies at IBF. Lian, who previously researched at Aalto University, covers a broad range of forming and materials research.
