100. Kolloquium
Spotlight on Aluminium: Industry Experience & Innovation at SIS 2025
We’re pleased to announce a dedicated Aluminium Special at the upcoming 22nd Surface Inspection Summit (SIS 2025), taking place on 20 November
2025 in Aachen, Germany.
Organised in cooperation with AMAP – The Aluminium Research Cluster at the RWTH Aachen University, this special session will coincide with the 100th AMAP Colloquium and will highlight practical case studies and advanced technological developments from across the aluminium industry.
What to Expect
This Aluminium Special will bring together producers, researchers, and technology providers to share real-world solutions and discuss future-oriented innovations in surface inspection with a focus on specific demands for the aluminium value chain. Confirmed contributions include:
- Aluminium Norf GmbH in collaboration with IMS Messsysteme GmbH – Implementation of a surface inspection system (SIS) into an aluminium ingot scalper
- AMETEK Surface Vision – Enhancing surface quality in aluminium production with video-based inspection: two case studies
- ISRA VISION – Extending the Scope of inspection towards extruded products
Relevance for Aluminium and Beyond
While the session will focus on aluminium applications, the insights, experiences, and technologies presented are highly relevant for the steel industry as well. As demanding surface inspection challenges drive process improvements, new solutions, and technology innovation, both alminium and steel producers will find valuable inspiration and transferable technologies in this programme.
We warmly invite professionals from steel, aluminium and other non-ferrous metal sectors to join us in Aachen and take part in shaping the future of industrial inspection technologies.
Surface Inspection. In Practice. At Scale.
